Blocking App

The CoCCA Blocking App is a new CoCCA authored and maintained software application that can be integrated with the CoCCA Shared Registry System and the CoCCA RDAP server to provide CoCCA users with blocking functionality for the initiatives offered by The Brand Safety Alliance (BSA) and NameBlock AS.
1.1 CoCCA Blocking App | BSA GlobalBlock
The BSA has advised that technical integration with the BSA platform must be completed and tested by January 15th , 2024.
The CoCCA Blocking App for BSA will be available December 1st, 2023 for TLD managers to successfully complete technical onboarding by January 15, 2024.
In order to enable GlobalBlock in a production environment, all CoCCA users will need to sign an agreement with the BSA, have a current CoCCA support agreement and formally agree to the CoCCA Blocking App commercial terms for GlobalBlock.
1.2 CoCCA Blocking App Terms for GlobalBlock
CoCCA will issue a software key to TLD managers that wish to participate in the BSA GlobalBlock initiative.
The fee for the software key and ongoing maintenance is USD 838 per TLD/month, paid annually, with the initial payment due after the TLD manager receives fees from the BSA.
90-day grace period: TLD managers may request the software key revocation within the first 90 days with no liability to CoCCA.
2.1. CoCCA Blocking App | NameBlock
The CoCCA Blocking APP for NameBlock will be available from January 15, 2024.
In order to enable Nameblock, TLD managers CoCCA users will need to sign an agreement with Nameblock AS, have a current CoCCA support agreement and formally agree to the CoCCA Blocking App commercial terms for Nameblock.
2.2 CoCCA Blocking App terms for NameBlock
CoCCA has agreed with NameBlock AS that 20% of the wholesale transaction fee will be charged to NameBlock for each block, this fee will be paid directly to CoCCA by NameBlock AS. Commercial terms with TLD managers will outline the transactional fees and the arrangement between CoCCA and Nameblock AS to confirm that no additional fees are payable by a TLD manager to CoCCA.
